Position Description
Our team has been engaged by a top accounting, tax, and advisory firm to find a high quality Tax Manager in the greater Chicago, IL area.This firm works with very significant local and regional business clients as well as high profile VIP personal clients for a variety of tax and business advisory needs.
Position Summary and Duties:
- -Work independently and with the management staff to work with an assigned group of clients across multiple industries
- -Advise clients on multiple tax issues, planning, research and compliance
- -Prep and review tax returns for multiple entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts
- -Work with key clients for business advisory and tax decisions
- -Supervise and train junior tax personnel
- -Help when needed for local business events networking and fostering relationships
Role Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent) (BS / BA Degree)
- Masters in Tax, or Accounting a nice bonus but not required
- Masters in tax or accounting preferred
- CPA is not required but highly appreciated
- High level of tax skills, organization, and analytical skills
- Work in a tight deadline environment
Pay and benefits:
- $130,000-$170,000 salary annually, commensurate with experience

- Fridays off during summers after busy season
- Flex schedule, hybrid is an option
